Gratitude = Happiness

Lately, I've been feeling unmotivated and uninspired. To kick this, I've decided to start up a steady 21 Day Gratitude Journal. Most entries will be private but some will be public, as I think it's beneficial and inspirational to others who may come across my blog.

Here we go! <3

Day 1- I am grateful for:

- My mom telling me she misses hearing me sing. She's sweet.
- Jeff <3
- Drinking tons of water
- Waiting on meat eaters at the vegan restaurant I work at
- Hemp seed oil (Benefits)
- Bright blue Florida sky
- Rainbow coming through the window at work, I positioned it on my face to look like David Bowie
- Google (Who needs college?)
- Devotchka- "The Clockwise Witness"

I feel better already. :)

Peace in Nature

When I notice myself accumulating unhealthy patterns of stress or negativity, I know the quickest remedy is to go outside.

Watching the sunrise is perfect. The sun gives us life and I'm happy when I wake up early to greet it. It replenishes my perspective and reminds me that I'm on a planet spinning in an infinite universe.

Sit beneath a tall tree, lay in the grass, walk in the woods or park, plant a garden, go swimming, marvel at the most organic type of art that exists, growing and flowing effortlessly all around you.

Focus on your breathing and listen to the subtle orchestra of the Earth.

These are the types of things that will refresh and nourish you.
